Journal is simply a magazine that deals with a particular professional subject. Accordingly there exist various types of journal in line with subjects or profession, for Language Testing Journal, NELTA Journal, Chemistry or Science Journal, etc are a few examples to name. Articles in journal are research or experience/knowledge based. They have specialized readership. Journals are periodically published according to which they can be classified as monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly.
