What is lesson shape?

The lesson shape of a particular content is related to the time frame available to the teacher. Likewise, lesson shape is also related to the coherence of elements of a lesson plan and inclusion of varieties of activities in the classroom. Whether the time is shorter or longer for a lesson, the formal shape of the lesson is alike, but only the activities may be reduced or added depending upon the length of time.
The beautiful shape of lesson contains mainly three overlapping procedures: engage, study and activate. Each of the procedures might contain a variety of activities depending upon the time frame and the course objectives for example, a teacher might engage his students by cracking jokes, asking questions related to judgement, analysis, evaluation, criticism, discussion, meditation, etc or let them read some text and draw key points, etc.
